Here’s a look back at moe.’s performance last Friday night at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. The band opened with a geographically fitting cover of the Grateful Dead’s “West L.A. Fadeaway,” followed by moe.’s own “Stranger Than Fiction.” The group then delivered a version of “Yellow Tigers” (which keyboardist Nate Wilson first recorded with his band Ghost of Jupiter) followed by “Silver Sun,” and “Ups and Downs!” The live classic “Moth,” then led into a set-closing “Lazarus.”
The second frame opened with “Nebraska,” “Shoot First” and “Crushing.” The six-piece then charged into an extended sequence that moved from “ATL” into “Meat” and “Billy Goat” before seguing back into “Meat” and then a “Moth” reprise. The encore was “Downward Facing Dog.”
