MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING Trailer: Ethan Hunt Faces the Entity

I’d be happy if Tom Cruise made Mission: Impossible movies as long as his body will allow. It’s my favorite franchise in the world. Each installment keeps doing the seemingly impossible and outdoing the previous perfect film. But I also love when stories have endings. There’s meaning in closure. And if Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning truly is Ethan Hunt’s last time saving the world, it looks like it’s going to be a meaningful end. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning‘s newest emotional trailer sees Cruise’s super agent trying to save the world one last time on a mission that will bring his past to the present.

You can check out the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning trailer below.

You know a movie doesn’t have to sell itself when its official synopsis, just two months out from release, is this simple:

Our lives are the sum of our choices. Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”

That’s more than enough. This Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning trailer and this franchise’s hero speak for themselves after nearly 30 years of saving the world. But while Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning ended with Ethan Hunt getting the two halves of the key needed to shut down the Entity, he still has a long way to go to complete his most important mission. How will he do that? By logging into his computer foe directly. Is that where he’ll see his many past heroic acts and failures alike? Will this super AI force Ethan to literally face the many choices he’s made? I cannot wait to find out.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the script with Erik Jendresen, the film also stars: Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Mariela Garriga, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Rolf Saxon, Lucy Tulugarjuk, and Angela Bassett.

As its trailer shares, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning comes to theaters May 23, 2025. Will it truly be Ethan Hunt’s last time on the Mission: Impossible job? Or will Tom Cruise return for more installments one day? He might not even know, but I know whatever ends up being the case, I’ll be happy.
