Yllana Aduana is a beauty queen – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, Miss Philippines Earth 2023 shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit, giving her followers a glimpse at the preliminary swimsuit competition. “You know swimsuit competition has always been one of my top fave segments in the competition because it shows the audience and judges the amount of discipline and dedication to fitness the candidate has and I hope I was able to show you that,” she captioned the post. How does the beauty queen approach health and fitness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Yllana understands the health benefits you can reap by going on a long walk. “Wah. Woke up early to hit the gym. But it’s closed!! But not complaining. I mean… I got to walk around NY Times Square for my early morning cardio instead!” she captioned a post. “Walk with me around NYC.” Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Yllana works out regularly. When she’s on the go, she relies on simple strength and weight training exercises using exercise bands and free weights. However, when she is at the gym, she takes advantage of the equipment. “So glaaaad to be back at our home//gym again!” she captioned a post.
Yllana loves hiking. Here she is after an excursion in the hills of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Yllana loves traveling and staying active while on her adventures. “Had the chance to KAYAK earlier at OHANA BEACH RESORT in Macate, Eastern Samar after our environmental activities and photoshoots! 🐟🛶🌅 We are definitely enjoying our stay here in Eastern Samar,” she captioned this post. Kayaking is a great workout. Not only is it great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress, but can burn up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.
One of Yllana’s main platforms is environmentalism. You can find her picking up trash at the beach and speaking about sustainability at pageants. During the Q&A of Miss Philippine Earth pageant night, Yllana mentioned, “I’m also conducting colloquiums on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their interconnectedness to nature in hopes to precipitate people’s eco-consciousness because our future is the linebackers and the pioneers of environmental amelioration, and we should always take advantage of it at all costs.”
