A MILLION-selling nineties band have revealed that they are reuniting for a huge tour.
The group are planning to celebrate 25 years since the release of their debut album.
The French Electronic duo, Air – made up of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel – first released their debut album Moon Safari in January 1998.
It was certified platinum in four countries, and Gold in an additional four regions.
The group also sold over 350,000 copies in the United States where it reached 41 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums.
Moon Safari was also a top ten hit in the UK and Ireland.
To celebrate the huge achievement, the group will play the album in its entirety in a series of gigs across North America.
They will play 19 shows which will start in the Canadian city of Vancouver on September 19th.
Following this, they are due to venture down the West Coast to play cities like Seattle, San Francisco as well as two shows in Los Angeles.
They will fly over to Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit in the Midwest before stopping over on the East Coast.
The tour will culminate in a huge finale in Austin, Texas over a month after the beginning of the tour on October 30th.
The band have achieved significant success over the years with six of their own albums, as well as collaborative material and extended plays.
Before the tour, they are also set to release the 25th anniversary deluxe version of Moon Safari on March 15.
This new instalment will featuring previously unreleased demos as well as live sessions and more exclusive materials.
Rolling Stone magazine previously included the record in their best albums of the 1990’s, where it ranked at number 93.
