“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown has expressed interest in making the show’s final season a musical. The actress said she would like to be a writer for the finale and make it a musical like the iconic musical episode of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” The finale is still in pre-production, so Brown’s idea is not a complete impossibility.
The Duffer Brothers have shared very little news on the final season, but they have confirmed that it’ll be shorter than season four and conclude the various storylines. Brown also addressed rumors that she’d be in the confirmed ‘Stranger Things‘ spin-off. She didn’t outrightly deny it but said she would love to mentor another actress in a similar role.
The Duffer Brothers have, however, confirmed that the spin-off will be something “very different.” While fans wait for season five, Brown has several upcoming projects, such as the highly anticipated sequel to “Enola Holmes,” and other films, such as “Damsel” and “The Electric State.”

Millie Bobby Brown Wants The Finale To Be A Musical
Brown, who plays the role of Eleven on “Stranger Things,” spoke to Total Film about some of her ideas for the series finale of the famous show. The actress said she would love to be given creative control and make it a musical.
Brown said, “I’d love to be the writer! I’d make it more of a musical. But, you know, they don’t entrust it in the hands of me, which they should.” She gave an example of a musical episode she’d use as inspiration for her musical idea. The show she mentioned is a long-running FX comedy starring Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Rob McElhenney.
She continued, “Trust me, I can do the finale to ‘Stranger Things,’ and it would be great. I think it should be like ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.’ Did you ever see the musical episode? It needs to end like that—a musical episode.” The musical episode she referred to was a rock opera the cast performed in an episode titled “The Nightman Cometh.”
The Final Season Is Still In Pre-Production
The Duffer Brothers have kept a tight lid on the news about “Stranger Things” season five, and filming is yet to commence. Actress Sadie Sink spoke to Deadline and said, “This last season took two years in total, so who knows how long season five will take. The Duffers definitely know the fans will be eagerly awaiting the fifth season, but I don’t think they’re gonna rush it. They wanna make the best final season that they could possibly make.”
The Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the final season will have shorter episodes than season four but that the finale will likely be another feature-length episode. In a recent interview with E! News, the show’s executive producer Shawn Levy said the final season “will answer all remaining questions. Levy also said, “we are in the business of satisfying viewers.”
Millie Bobby Brown Addressed Rumors About The Spin-off
During her conversation with Total Film, Brown addressed the rising rumors she’s featuring in the confirmed “Stranger Things” spin-off. She joked about mentoring another Eleven actress, saying, “I’d love to see another bald-headed 10-year-old get given that opportunity. I would help her navigate it.”
During a recent “Happy Sad Confused” podcast appearance, the Duffer Brothers also spoke about the spin-off rumors. They said, “I’ve read these rumors that there’s gonna be an Eleven spin-off, that there’s gonna be a Steve and Dustin spin-off or that it’s another number.”
The brothers clarified that all the rumors were false. They said, “That’s not interesting to me because we’ve done all that. We’ve spent I don’t know how many hours exploring all of that. So it’s very different.” They revealed that only one person knows the content of the spin-off, and that’s Finn Wolfhard because he guessed it correctly.
Millie Bobby Brown’s Upcoming Projects
While fans patiently wait for the final season of “Stranger Things,” Brown is booked and busy with several upcoming film projects. She features in “Enola Holmes 2,” which premieres on Netflix on November 4th. It’s the sequel to the 2020s “Enola Holmes,” in which the heroine outsmarts her brother Sherlock as she searches for her mother.
The sequel follows Enola as she takes on her first case as a detective with the help of her friends and brother, the famous Sherlock Holmes. Henry Cavill is also reprising his role as Sherlock in the sequel. Some more of Brown’s upcoming film projects include “Damsel,” “The Electric State,” and “The Girls I’ve Been.”
