Miley Cyrus has had a long career. She started out as playing the title character on Hannah Montana, even doing so in a movie. She then launched a music career, releasing songs like “7 Things”, “Wrecking Ball”, and most recently, “Flowers.” Cyrus shared a stunning new photo on Instagram. In it, she wore a black swimsuit top and shorts. She received a lot of compliments in the comments. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Miley Cyrus stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
For Cyrus, physical activity is extremely important to her. She opened up about this in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “Outside of music, physical fitness is my most passionate creative outlet,” she said. “I find so much fun in choreographing my workouts. I think there is a greater chance of maintaining a fitness commitment if you don’t think of it as work but as play.”
Cyrus is all about honesty. She tells Harper’s Bazaar that she makes sure to be honest with herself about what needs to happen. “There is nothing sexier than someone being in their honest feelings. So I nurture myself as a human and that radiates through my skin and invites people in to do the same when we’re together, which depends connection.”
Cyrus has amazing skin. She shared some of her secrets in an interview with Byrdie. Cyrus says that she always makes sure to take her makeup off, no matter how tired she is. “I always had really bad skin growing up, so I’m obsessed with taking care of my skin. No matter what, I don’t pass out in my makeup. Like I will make sure I zombie walk [to the sink], no matter how late, and wash my face, because I just think it’s so important.”
Cyrus works with trainer, Mari Winsor, to help her stay in shape. Winsor talked about working with Cyrus to People. “She wants to be healthy, she wants to have good abs,” Winsor says. “It always makes her feel better and clearer when she works out.” The Australian Institute of Fitness states that working with a trainer has a lot of benefits. “Having an educated personal trainer beside you to demonstrate the correct posture and technique is invaluable. A personal trainer will ensure clients are performing exercises correctly and efficiently, in order to maximise results.”
Winsor tells People that she does a lot of Pilates with Cyrus. “It’s at least a half an hour of working out … You have to learn how to not just tighten up your tummy but actually pull your tummy in to your lower back as much as you can. Just doing 40 crunches a day isn’t gonna do it for you.”
