Michelle Milo of Banshee Tree, and Lindsay Lou’s Touring Band, Issues Debut Single

Today, Michelle Milo, drummer and singer for Banshee Tree, and touring member of Lindsay Lou’s ensemble, releases her solo debut single, “We Might Be Haunted,” across all digital platforms. The standalone track, issued on Milo’s own Floating Feather Records, precedes an eventual release of a debut EP, slated for 2025.
Milo recorded much of the song at her Denver home, with additional sessions at Thom LaFond’s studio. As well, the track includes a guest performance by Milo’s friend, Lily Fangz. Inspiration for Milo’s inaugural foray into a solo career comes, as no surprise, from her extensive experience as a drummer, basing the track’s center and melody around its rhythm.
“I woke up and had this groove in my head, and something clicked,” Milo says. “The song is basically me recognizing my own self-sabotage, and choosing another path.”
Milo reports Banshee Tree, too, has been busy prepping its next album, aiming for an April 2025 release date, that also will include some of her songwriting contributions. Milo will continue to tour with Lindsay Lou, as well. In her off-time, Milo plans to work on growing her own solo repertoire.
“I think I found something with this song- how to express myself musically as a drummer and as a songwriter,” Milo says. “I love it. It feels like a kind of coming home.”
