Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have reportedly split.
Sources tell People magazine the celebrity couple broke up after a year and a half of dating. Though the insider didn’t share any details about what led to the decision, they claimed Jordan and Harvey were “both completely heartbroken.”
“They still love each other,” the source said. “Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time. They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”
Jordan, 35, and Harvey, 25, went Instagram official in January 2021—months after they sparked dating rumors. The Black Panther star later revealed the two began dating in November 2020, but were hesitant to publicly announce their romance.
“The situation for me was real enough [to share],” Jordan told the Hollywood Reporter about their decision to finally go public. “There’s a premeditated planning of staying out of the way [of the public eye] that sometimes kills spontaneity and intimacy. I wanted to take that away and give this the best chance it had, in this weird world that we live in, to be somewhat normal. Long story short, I think it’s just the timing of everything. It was the right time for me. Yeah. I’m happy.”
The couple and their respective camps have publicly confirmed the breakup.
