Mia Yim is a successful wrestler. She performs with WWE under their SmackDown brand. In May, she shared a post-workout photo on Instagram. In it, she posed in a maroon set of workout clothes. Yim shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. She makes sure to work her back. Back muscle training may also help protect you from injury and back pain. As with other muscles, the muscles surrounding your spine can weaken with age or lack of exercise, making you more prone to injury and pain.’

Yim likes to strength train to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing strength training exercises. NPR states that strength training has a lot of benefits. “A new study finds there are more health benefits to strength training beyond just building muscles. Turns out it is good for people’s mood and metabolism and longevity. And according to the data, women may have the most to gain.

In order to stay prepared for her fights, Yim likes to box. She shared this video on Instagram of herself sparring with a trainer. Yim captioned the post, “Got to go back and train at @fightlabfitness missed my old school 😭 but shoutout to @_noahjfitness_ for getting this rust off!”

Yim opened up about her career to RondaRousey.com. She says that she makes sure to work hard to get where she is. “It taught me everything from just the business aspect of it—from how to conduct myself—along with just the hustle. How I was in the indies, I worked every weekend, but I also still had a nine to five job from Monday through Friday. So it was different working and knowing how to balance… Not ‘real life,’ just because being in the ring is real life. but how to balance a desk job along with having to travel every weekend and getting to network and using social media as a networking tool.”

Yim shares photos from the beach. “A healthy dose of sun can be an easy way to reap many health benefits. The recommended amount of daily sun exposure will depend on multiple factors. In general, getting 10-15 minutes of sun three times a week is adequate. If you plan to be out in the sun for extended amounts of time, make sure you are staying hydrated, protecting your body with sunscreen, your eyes with sunglasses and wearing a hat,” says North Oaks.
