A new trailer for Sinners, the new movie from Creed and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, was released earlier this week, and one of the major talking points has been the role that Oscar-nominee Hailee Steinfeld is playing. While many fans suspected it, the second trailer for the film confirmed that Steinfeld will be playing a vampire.
In addition to playing a vampire, it appears that Hailee Steinfeld will be playing quite the seductive one as evidenced by the romance between her and Michael B. Jordan’s character that’s teased in the film.
Given the recent events surrounding her Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse co-star Shameik Moore — the actor had quite the crash out on social media after Steinfeld got engaged to Josh Allen — jokes about what Moore’s reaction to the trailer might be have been going viral.
“There’s still more people to meet. More opportunities to come. And more chances to try. Live, learn, apply,” Moore tweeted in the wake of Steinfeld’s engagement back in November.

Steinfeld’s fiancee Josh Allen wasn’t safe from the memes either, as one particularly vulgar and viral tweet joked that the combination of Steinfeld’s role in this film plus losing the MVP award to Lamar Jackson will push the Bills QB to say a racial slur during a press conference.
“Seeing my fiancee doing this to Michael B. Jordan after losing to Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs for 4th time would’ve been my 13th reason,” another tweet joked.

In addition to Michael B. Jordan (in a dual role) and Hailee Steinfeld, Sinners, hitting theaters on April 18, also stars Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo. You can watch the official trailer below, but heads up, Warner Bros. inexplicably revealed a massive spoiler in the final 10 seconds.
