After quitting their roles in 2020, Harry and Meghan subsequently relocated to the US, where they reside in their $14 million Montecito mansion with their children.

Amid reports that they’re seeking to secure a permanent home in the UK in an apparent bid to restore broken ties with the royal family, royal expert Richard Eden has suggested that the pair may not have enough time to do that.

Speaking In a recent appearance on the Daily Mail‘s weekly talk show, “Palace Confidential,” Eden noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now “irrelevant” to the remaining royal family members, particularly for Harry, who he suggested was “central” to royal plans before he and his wife quit their royal roles, adding that “time is running out to come back while his father is still King.”

“We saw that at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 where it was just Harry and his brother, Camilla, and Charles and, of course, the queen,” he explained, adding, “Charles thought that when Harry had a family, they would be carrying out engagements and sharing those duties with William so, I think time is running out.”

“If Harry wants to come back at any stage, he needs to do it while his father is still King,” Eden shared.
