While Ben Affleck’s new movie Air, about Nike’s historic recruitment of Michael Jordan, is a star-studded affair, we have a feeling that one of the lesser-known actresses in the film is going to be making a few of her own headlines in the coming days.

Meet Jessica Green, a 30-year-old Australian actress who appears in the film — Affleck’s fifth as a director following Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Argo, and Live By Night — as Katrina Sainz.

In a post on her Instagram page, Green shared her excitement about being involved in Air, which is already being hailed as one of the best movies of the year and a potential Academy Awards contender.

Still pinching myself that I got to act in a few scenes with these guys! A little cameo but nonetheless, I’m still so proud to be a part of this movie and this CAST,” Green wrote on IG.

“Acting alongside and being directed by Ben [Afflecl] and Matt [Damon]has been a dream come true. This movie is epic: April 5th, hope you enjoy.”

In addition to her role in Air, Green is also known for her roles as Cleopatra in the Netflix series Roman Empire, Talon in The CW series The Outpost, and Kiki on the Australian teen drama Lightning Post. She also made a minor appearance as a “townswoman” in 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Green has also appeared in projects such as Rise, Red Billabong, Ash vs Evil Dead (the TV series), and FBI: International.

Alongside Green, Air — which hit theaters in the United States on Wednesday, April 5 — stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Viola Davis, Jason Bateman, Chris Tucket, Marlon Wayans, Chris Messina, and more. At the time of this writing, the film has an impressive 94% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.
