Meaghan Martin is multitasking – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the theater producer-slash-actress flaunts her flat abs in a crop top and leggings. “A Friday afternoon in the life of a ✨theatre producer✨. Also for everyone who is going to ask I AM STILL AN ACTOR, it’s 2024, women can do more than one thing,” she writes in the caption of her video, which includes a mirror selfie in her gym clothes. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
At the start of her Instagram Reel, Meaghan drinks a cup of coffee. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
Meaghan is a runner. “Cry mid-run when Roar comes on your playlist,” she captioned a post. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
Meaghan also enjoys hiking. “Started from the bottom – then went to the top, then a different bottom, then a different top then the bottom again… 🗻,” she captioned one of the many posts of herself shared from rugged terrain. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
You might find Meaghan on the tennis court. “Get you a girl who stubbornly insists you play a sport she’s garbage at with her. Or you know… don’t. 🎾,” she captioned a photo. According to ACE Fitness it blends together cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and hand-eye coordination. “While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding,” they say.
Meaghan’s alcoholic drink of choice? White wine. While red wine is slightly healthier than white, the lighter shade of vino generally has fewer calories than the darker shade.
