McDonald’s finally has a release date for its McCrispy strips, the main ingredient in the upcoming Snack Wrap’s return.
After listening to fans beg for years, McDonald’s finally revealed back in December that the snack wraps will return to restaurants around the US in 2025.
The company revealed a new chicken strip based on its existing McCrispy sandwiches shortly after, leaving many to believe it’s going to be what’s inside the new item.
McDonald’s narrowed down the snack wrap’s launch in a post on April 15, and now we finally have a release date for its new McCrispy Strips.
McCrispy strips are coming soon
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 22, food news-focused content creator Snackolator revealed that McCrispy Strips are finally releasing on April 29 and that some locations are already selling them.
Alongside the new strips is a Creamy Chili Dip that McDonald’s is labeling the “McCrispy Strip Dip.”
We’ll have to wait to see how much these cost once they launch, and many are already starting to see them appear in their app as a picture for the chicken section of the menu.
This announcement has many wondering if the Snack Wraps launch will be sooner rather than later. McDonald’s revealed that they will be released sometime before September 14, 2025, in a post on X where they shared a date – 0x.14.25.
After the announcement, though, fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.
“You know I’ve been waiting for this,” one user commented.
“Yummy, I can’t wait to try them out,” a second replied.
A disappointed fan, however, added: “This is not giving Chicken Select … they can keep it.”
We’ll have to wait to see how they taste until after they release, but it’s clear that many are excited to have chicken strips back at McDonald’s ahead of the long-awaited return of the Snack Wrap.
