McDonald’s has finally brought a fan-favorite breakfast menu item to all locations across the United States.

When it comes to fast food, McDonald’s breakfast menu features some of the most popular items across the entire industry.

It introduced the Egg McMuffin back in 1975, and since then has added dozens of other items like the McGriddle, hashbrowns, and more. Another popular item on McDonald’s breakfast menu for quite a while was its bagel sandwiches, which were removed in 2020 alongside the all-day breakfast menu.

The chain began testing them in limited markets again back in 2024 and gave fans of the sandwich massive news in February 2025.

McDonald’s reveals bagel sandwiches will be available nationwide

The news was shared in a press release celebrating the 50th anniversary of McDonald’s breakfast menu.

“50 years later, it’s still the GOAT. In honor of this golden anniversary, the Golden Arches are doubling down on breakfast – offering fans even more reasons to wake up with McDonald’s and save on their favorites,” it reads.

“For the first time ever, McDonald’s renowned bagel sandwiches are now available across the U.S. So, whether you love the classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Sausage, Egg & Cheese; or the iconic Steak, Egg & Cheese, McDonald’s has you covered, no matter where you are.”

Alongside the nationwide bagel launch, McDonald’s is offering its Egg McMuffin and Sausage McMuffin with Egg for just $1 through March 2. They’ve also announced that Krispy Kreme donuts are coming to more restaurants in the United States and will be available nationwide by the end of 2026.

The bagel isn’t the only thing McDonald’s is bringing back this year, either. Its CEO recently doubled down on the long-awaited return of Snack Wraps in 2025 which will be fueled by a new chicken strip. While they haven’t announced when it will return to menus, some have already begun seeing the new chicken strip at restaurants around the US.
