MAX has let go of another fan-favorite TV show.
Fans were left “surprised” and “disappointed” by the decision.

The Flight Attendant – which has been nominated for many Emmy Awards – was officially canceled after two seasons.
The comedy-drama series was one of HBO‘s first Max original series that first aired on November 26, 2020, as the streaming service launched that same year.
The Flight Attendant starred Kaley Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, and Rosie Perez.
The show followed a young woman who worked as a flight attendant, however, he was thrown for a loop when she woke up next to a dead man without any memory of what happened.

The second season followed Kaley’s character as she was a CIA agent and accidentally witnessed a murder while working on an assignment overseas.
The series was also based on the mystery book The Flight Attendant by Chris Bohjalian.
The Big Bang Theory actress was nominated for the Leading Actress category at the Emmys in 2021 and 2022 for her role as Cassie Bowden.
The show also was nominated for Best Comedy Series in 2021 as well as Best Supporting Actress nominee Rosie Perez.

‘SO GRATEFUL’
Steve Yockey, the show’s creator, said in a statement: “The Flight Attendant was a true passion project and the reception from viewers and critics alike was pretty stunning. Our unorthodox spectacle of a show really found people.
“As we all move on to new projects, those two seasons of television and the incredible team of professionals behind them will always stay at the top of my list.”
Kaley also said: “What started out as an attention-grabbing book cover quickly evolved into an extraordinary flight of a lifetime. I always envisioned TFA as a limited series and thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons.
“Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true and I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life.”
‘I’M SURPRISED’
Fans flooded X, formerly Twitter, to share their opinions on the streaming service’s cancellation.
“I’m surprised it was pretty good,” one wrote.
Another said, “That’s disappointing.”
A third admitted, “It had a good 2 seasons run, it’s bittersweet because i wanted to see more but i’m glad it ended before they could ruin it.”
“Well that’s a bummer. It’s a great show,” stated someone else.
However, a fifth person mentioned that it was “the right decision” as it was a “big drop off” from the first season.
This isn’t the first fan-favorite show that was canceled by Max.
IT’S ALL OVER
Also this week, Max axed one of its popular series just weeks after its season two finale.
Rap Sh!t was canceled and will not return for Season 3, TVLine reported.
“We are extremely grateful to Issa Rae for creating Rap Sh!t, a one-of-a-kind comedy with compelling social commentary that reached viewers in a way only Issa’s talents can accomplish,” a spokesperson for Max said in a statement.
“A huge thank you to Issa, showrunner Syreeta Singleton and the teams at Hoorae and 3 Arts Entertainment for introducing us to Shawna and Mia, a duo whose journey fans have been invested in and who they have continued to root for through everything.”
“We’ll never get Seduce and Scheme out of our heads and we wouldn’t have it any other way,” they ended.
Rap Sh!t was about two high school friends from Miami, Florida, who later reunited to form a rap group.
The Season 2 finale was released on December 21, 2023.
Aida Osman and KaMillion lead the series.
‘WE NEED TO RIOT’
Fans expressed their disappointment on social media.
“OMG WE NEED TO RIOT!!!!!!!!” wrote one X user.
“When and where?” a fan replied to them.
Another simply wrote, “nooooooooo!”
“HBO/MAX YOU WILL RUE THE DAY,” tweeted a third.
“Maaaaaan, I NEEDED to know what happened next season,” said another.
One fan even suggested that they make a movie out of the series.
“I’m cancelling my subscription. GIVE IT BACK @StreamOnMax,” one last fan wrote.
