Hollywood megastar Mark Wahlberg revealed this week that he crashed a frat party at his daughter’s school Clemson during parents’ weekend. Ella Wahlberg is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority there.
Wahlberg said he had such a good time that if he had gone to college and joined a fraternity he’d “be a 25th year senior” because he’s “still be in college.”
“You’ve said you had regrets about skipping college?” Wahlberg was asked in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“Well, they were having the most fun I’ve ever seen anybody have, ever!” he replied. “Even more than her coming to Vegas.
“I was at the frat house and, you know, a couple of spots in town. It was nuts. Parents’ weekend was incredible.”
“But how much would your career path have changed had you gone that route instead of this one?” he was then asked.
“I’d still be in college,” Wahlberg responded. “I would still be at the frat house. I’d be a 25th year senior, yeah.”
“The grandfather, the patriarch of the fraternity!” his co-star in the new film The Family Plan Michelle Monaghan interjected.
“Oh, that’s actually another movie idea right there!” Wahlberg shot back. “You just gave me a new movie.” (Pretty sure his buddy Will Ferrell has already done that one, but sure, why not?)
He certainly did appear to be having a good time in some of the images he shared on social media from the visit to Clemson.
“Clemson was roaring,” Mark Wahlberg wrote in one video post.
“Coach Dabo Sweeney [sic] got me fired up,” he said in another post. “I actually thought I had one good game left in me.”
Dude is 52-years-old and legit still looks like he could play for the Tigers. Amazing.
