Marcus Mumford has announced a forthcoming North American tour in support of his debut solo album (self-titled), which will be released on Sept. 16 through Capitol Records. The headlining run will begin on Sept. 19 at the famed Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colo.
The trek includes an extensive lineup of stops from coast to coast, as well as a Toronto tour ender and a sprinkling of festival appearances throughout the fall. After the first stops of the run in The Centennial State, the musician will make his way to Las Vegas to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
On Sept. 26, Mumford will take the stage at Seattle’s The Paramount Theatre; the one-night stand marks the first west coast tour date, followed by an appearance in Portland, Ore.’s Keller Auditorium. From there, the musician will make his way to California for a handful of stops before descending on Phoenix’s The Van Buren on Oct. 7.
Three gigs in the Lone Star State will prelude the musician’s one-night stand in The Big Easy on Oct. 14, which will happen before Mumford makes his way to the Midwest. Once in the middle of the country, he’ll perform at Madison, Wis.’s The Sylvee on Oct. 21, prior to a show at the Palace Theatre in Saint Paul, Minn., the following night.
Mumford will continue his run at the Chicago Theatre on Oct. 24 before making his way to The Fillmore in Detroit the next night. He’ll descend upon the Southern region of the United States next, spending late October and early November in North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
The tour’s final stops will take place in the northeast, with stops in Portland, Maine, on Nov. 5, New York City on Nov. 7, and Boston the following night. The last tour stop will occur in Toronto and the legendary Massey Hall on Nov. 10.
On the road, Mumford will welcome Danielle Ponder, who will support the headlining act from Sept. 19 through Oct. 14. From there, he’ll welcome The A’s, who will join the tour from Oct. 17 through to its final stop on Nov. 10.
