Today, Phil Lesh announced the group of eclectic artists who will be joining him at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., for his annual Phil Lesh & Friends October residency.
This year the Grateful Dead bassist will perform on the weekends of Oct. 14-16, Oct. 21-23 and on Oct. 28, 29 and 31 for what is ardently referred to as “Phil-o-Ween.” On the first weekend, Lesh will welcome John Scofield, Eric Krasno, Karl Denson, Grahame Lesh, and Alex Koford. On Oct. 14 and Oct. 16, Ivan Neville will join them, while Steve Molitz will round out the lineup on Oct. 15.
The following weekend, Oct. 21-23, Lesh will be joined by Goose guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, Grahame Lesh, James Casey, Natalie Cressman, Jennifer Hartswick, John Medeski and John Molo.
For the final three dates, Lesh’s “friends” will again rotate: Eric Krasno, Grahame Lesh, Nicki Bluhm, Jason Crosby and Tony Leone will serve as fixtures for the run – Marcus King will join on Oct. 28 and 29, and Duane Betts will sit-in on Halloween.
