A 21-year-old celebrating his birthday and the first day that he could legally gamble in Las Vegas went to The LINQ and won over $362,000.
I don’t want to be the one to have to tell him but it really isn’t going to get any better than that. Damon H. was playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em Poker when he hit the progressive jackpot in O’Shea’s pit at The LINQ which is across the strip from Caesar’s.
The LINQ announced Damon H’s ‘MEGA’ progressive jackpot win of $362,640 on social media while congratulating him on the win and on his 21st birthday:
We had a lucky winner hit the MEGA Progressive jackpot for $362,640 in our O’Shea’s pit! Help us congratulate Damon H. on his 21st birthday WIN in the #HeartofTheStrip playing Texas Hold’em 🎉

Seeing that photo, one can’t help but wonder what the morale is at the table behind him. They’ve just witnessed a 21-year-old hit a progressive jackpot on literally the first day that he’s legally able to gamble inside of a Las Vegas casino. Then they continue to play the same game, Ultimate Texas Hold’em Poker, knowing the chances of hitting a progressive jackpot are infinitesimally small and even if they do the jackpot will be miniscule.
What I’m really getting at here is if I’m those people I think it’s time to move to another game or casino because all of the good luck has been siphoned out of that room for a while, right?
While this jackpot is incredible, it pales in comparison to some recent progressive jackpots across the nation. Back in January, one gambler won $1.4 million playing Pai Gow Poker in Pittsburgh. In March of last year, another gambler won $1 million with a Royal Flush in Kansas. Must. Be. Nice.
