A TOYOTA owner has discovered a disturbing ignition issue in his newly purchased model that he says “drives him crazy.”

The car influencer, who goes by the name Car Confections on TikTok, opened up to viewers about what’s wrong with his Toyota Camry.

In the viral video, he explains that he’s owned the vehicle for some six months and while there are many things he loves about the car, there are also some issues.

He said, “I’m not a negative person, but one thing that drives me crazy is the fact that we’re supposed to have wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.

“Yet every time I get in the vehicle, it doesn’t pair automatically, and I have to go through all the menus to turn it on.”

He’s not alone, either.

On Reddit, many users have complained about a similar issue with the best-seller, although most state that it usually only happens when the car is started remotely.

According to those drivers, ensuring Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both enabled before starting the car usually prevents the issue.

But this isn’t the only problem.

Car Confections revealed that the car contains many “creaks and squeaks that you might not expect from the Toyota brand,” although he admits that this may be due to the car he’s driving being one of the first the company manufactured.

He also complains about the car’s lane-centering system.

He said, “Unless you buy the top model, it doesn’t have the sensor that monitors your eyes and ensures you’re paying attention.

Toyota refused to service my car despite extended warranty – excuse was ‘dumb’

“So, you constantly have to be turning the steering wheel even if you’re going on a straight road so the car knows you’re paying attention.”

What’s more, he picked up on the car’s digital gauge cluster, which he dubbed “so complicated to use.”

He added, “We review cars every day, and this is one of the worst for burying basic functions deep within many menus, such as trying to change the overall design.”

Finally, he picks up on the car’s seats being “a little bit harder than we might like.”

Plenty of other TikTokers shared their feelings in the comment section.

One wrote, “I hate Toyota’s infotainment system.

“I would never buy one until they make it easier to use. I don’t need a list of every single radio station.”

Another said, “I have a 2021 Venza and I spent a solid 20 minutes in the gauge cluster finding out things I had zero ideas I could do, there’s so many menus.”

And a third commented, “The gauge cluster is the worst ever! Older customers can never figure it out.”

The Sun has approached Toyota for comment.
