MAMA June has broken down in tears over her late daughter Anna Cardwell’s cancer battle in the new heartbreaking season trailer.
WE tv’s Mama June: Family Crisis will premiere in February after Anna died from her 10-month battle with adrenal carcinoma.

The trailer featured Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson‘s graduation, Anna’s battle with cancer, and several tense moments.
In a confessional Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efrid said: “Anna’s cancer is very aggressive.”
Captured on camera, Anna was sitting in a restaurant and told someone: “I don’t need any more stress on me.”
The trailer cut to Mama June wiping tears from her face as she averted her eyes from the camera.
Several fans took to the comments of the trailer to share their sympathies.
One fan remarked: “Going to be praying for y’all as this airs. I know it’s gonna be tough reliving this.”
A second shared: “I cry every season but I know this one is going to break my heart.”
Yet a third said: “Can’t wait to see it but don’t want you guys to relive it either.”

BATTLE FOR KAITLYN
Meanwhile, Mama June has demanded permanent custody of her granddaughter Kaitlyn one day after Anna’s ex Michael filed a lawsuit demanding the same rights.
According to legal documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Mama June petitioned a Georgia judge on Monday asking for permanent sole legal and physical custody of Kaitlyn.
Mama June was awarded emergency guardianship of her granddaughter on December 15.
She has argued she is the best person to continue to care for Kaitlyn moving forward.
“Since the mother’s passing, the child has remained in the care, custody, and control of Petitioner,” the reality stated in the court filing documents.
“Petitioner previously had temporary guardianship of the child. More recently, approximately one month before passing, the mother and child began residing with Petitioner.”
Mama June argues she is “not aware of any interested parties other than herself that would have standing to seek custody of the child.”
Despite Michael filing for custody of Kaitlyn on Sunday in his suit against Mama June, the family matriarch continues her petition as if she was unaware of his filing.
Michael is the biological father of Anna’s youngest daughter, Kylee, 8, whom he has full custody of.
Mama June continued in the papers: “Petitioner is not aware of any other actions involving custody of the child pending in this or any other state.
“Petitioner has not participated as a party or witness in any other actions involving the child, not otherwise referenced herein,” the reality star continued in her court papers.
MICHAEL’S CASE FOR CUSTODY
The U.S. Sun reported Michael filed a lawsuit against Mama June on December 17 arguing he should be awarded custody of Anna’s oldest daughter.
He filed his suit against Mama June in a Georgia court after Anna’s tragic death.
Michael argued in the documents he has “fully and completely undertaken a permanent, unequivocal, committed, and responsible parental role” in Kaitlyn’s life.
He has “engaged in consistent caretaking of the child and established a bonded and dependent relationship with the child,” which he said was fostered by Anna, despite Kaitlyn not being his biological daughter.
Michael said after he and Anna divorced, his regular visitation schedule with Kylee included time with Kaitlyn.
He stated he has an “independent relationship with the child, which was fostered and supported by a parent of the child.
“Both petitioner and parent understood, acknowledged, accepted and behaved as though the petitioner is a parent of the child and accepted full and permanent responsibilities as a parent of the child without expectation of financial compensation.”
Michael called out Anna’s well-documented tenuous relationship with her mother Mama June.
“Anna has been raised by her maternal grandmother in Griffin, Georgia, since she was approximately eight years old and only returned to the home of June Shannon when she was 17.
“Anna has had a very sordid relationship with her mother throughout her life and went various periods of time without speaking to her.
“Likewise, June’s presence in the minor child’s life has been inconsistent,” he said in the documents.
Michael argued he has – and still is – paying for Kaitlyn’s education.
“Petitioner has been a stable and consistent part of the minor child’s life since she was eight months old and has continued to do so even after years from his divorce from Anna.
“Petitioner is the only living person that has shown a constant and continuous interest in the child’s minor child’s well-being, and being in the custody of the petitioner will be in the child’s best interest,” Michael concluded.
June was served the papers on Sunday, December 17, according to the documents.
