OTK streamer Nick ‘Nmplol’ Polom has been accused of financial abuse in relation to his ongoing divorce from Malena according to court documents.
The accusations surfaced during a live broadcast, where YouTuber Henry Resilient examined details from filings connected to the divorce.
Resilient was the first content creator to bring public attention to Nmplol and Malena’s divorce in 2024, which had been kept private until then.
His viral video prompted Nmplol to confirm their long-term relationship and subsequent separation, emphasizing that the divorce was proceeding smoothly. However, Resilient’s March 6 broadcast cast doubt on that narrative by referencing Malena’s alleged claims of financial abuse.
During the stream, he shared a screenshot from the supposed amended court filings, which included the following excerpt: “Malena Polom requests the court consider the following in effecting the division of parties’ estate: a. Respondent’s [Nmplol’s] economic and financial abuse of Petitioner [Malena].”
The document further alleged that Nmplol restricted Malena’s access to their shared finances, stating: “Respondent’s failure to permit access to the parties’ community property accounts, including for purposes of insight and access to such community funds.”
Community property refers to marital assets jointly owned by spouses, which must be divided during a divorce.
Resilient’s video also noted a shift in Malena’s approach to the division of assets. Initially, her legal filings requested judge involvement to divide their estate. However, the updated filings suggest she now believes the two may reach an agreement on asset division outside of court.
Despite this, the amended filings indicate that if court intervention becomes necessary, Malena wants the court to recognize her as a “financial abuse victim.”
In Texas, where the divorce is reportedly taking place, marital misconduct such as financial abuse can significantly impact the division of assets. Resilient explained that if Malena’s claims are substantiated, she could be awarded a greater share of the couple’s community property, potentially exceeding 50%.
“Texas is one of those rare states that if a spouse can prove marital misconduct, which is what financial abuse would fall under, the judge can award her the majority of the community property,” he stated.
While Nmplol has previously responded to Henry Resilient’s YouTube videos, Malena has remained silent about the divorce. Since the couple announced their breakup in September 2024, she has not made any public statements about their relationship or the ongoing legal proceedings.
