Set to land April 25 via Big Machine Rock, news of the forthcoming LP has been shared alongside the release of brand-new single ‘The Ending Is Always The Same’.

The new track from The Struts vocalist tells the story of an ill-fated love, with Spiller explaining:

“It’s a classic scenario where you decide to break things off, but step into the murky waters of ‘let’s be friends’. Then, before you know it, you’re hooking up and getting back together and going through the cycle again.”

“It’s a song that comes with a warning label. Don’t try this at home.”

Spiller released his forthcoming record’s title track at the end of last month, and now finds himself embarking on a new solo era, away from the formidable rock band he’s best known for.

The fruits of the new 10-track record came from Spiller working alongside producer Jon Levine and guitarist/producer Jason Falkner, with Spiller explaining:

“In terms of big sound and theatrics, those come naturally to me. That’s the way I’ve always written, and that wasn’t an issue.”

“This was a case of finding great lyrics that told a great story with truth and vulnerability. I really wanted to tell my own story in this record.”
