Luke Combs might’ve won last year’s “top fantasy football punishment” award. The country music singer made the losers of his league pay their debts this weekend.
Combs performed in Cincinnati on Saturday in front of 60,000 fans at Paycor Stadium, home of the Bengals. Attendees got to witness a surprise performance in that show.
Midway through the concert, Combs addressed the crowd. In doing so, he offered an explanation as to what they were about to see next.
“Who knows what fantasy football is in here? I’ve been in a fantasy football league with some of my best friends from high school for 12 years now, and last year, we decided that whoever lost was going to have to come on stage and sing with me tonight.
“Lucky for me, there was a scoring issue in the last game, and my two best friends in the whole world both lost. And they both have to come out and sing in front of you guys tonight.
“These guys have been nervous about this for a long time.”

Fans were in for a treat!
Due to a scoring issue on the last game, there were a pair of fantasy football losers in Luke Combs‘ league. The singer brought the duo on stage, making them perform a song unrevealed to the best friends.
The result was incredible.
Combs’ friends walked out in front of the sold-out crowd wearing blue suede shoes (and one epic Miller Lite romper), soon learning they’d be giving an embarrassing rendition of “Walking in Memphis,” by Marc Cohn.

The nervous guest singers did their best to belt out the popular tune to the cheers of a screaming crowd. It was an obvious step down in talent from Combs, who was rooting them on on-stage.
While the fantasy football punishment was embarrassment on the highest of levels, the pair appeared to enjoy themselves. With a friend as well-known as Luke Combs, you never know what to expect!
It should provide some added incentive to not finish in last place this season.
