The state of Louisiana is getting pummeled by snow right now and it’s creating absolutely surreal scenes on Bourbon Street. What started as just a severe Winter Storm Warning has led to an actual blizzard warning while some people are straight-up snow skiing on Bourbon Street.
New Orleans, a city associated with suffocating humidity and the swampiest temperatures imaginable during the Summer currently looks like a Winter Wonderland. The streets are blanketed in snow with drivers staying off the roads.
Bourbon Street has never looked this peaceful in the middle of the day:

Since this, the snow total in New Orleans has surpassed 4 inches and it’s still climbing:

Meanwhile, all of that snow is headed to Florida… I’m an FSU alum and the city of Tallahassee is bracing for 2.5″ tonight. It’s hard to imagine Tally functioning with any measurable amount of snow on the ground but that will be the reality by early tomorrow morning.
