LOGAN PAUL hit back at Ronda Rousey after she claimed WWE are “rolling out the red carpet” for him.
Paul, 29, crossed over from YouTube and amateur boxing to professional wrestling three years ago before signing a contract in 2022.
The Maverick has since been making sporadic appearances and only wrestles in major pay-per-view shows against some of the company’s biggest stars, such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton.
The American also became US Champion last year when he beat Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel and struck a deal with WWE that sees his PRIME logo placed in the middle of the ring on all premium live events.
However, the social media star’s win-loss record isn’t stellar as he has won seven out of 12 matches since joining the wrestling giants.
Rousey, though, insists Paul receives special treatment from the powers that be.
The UFC Hall of Famer, who had two impressive stints in WWE after leaving Dana White’s company, praised the YouTuber’s mic skills but suggested even that is down to rehearsals.
Rousey recently told Steve-O’s Wild Ride: “He’s great on the mic. He does a great job on the mic. I wish I was allowed the time to rehearse that he gets.
“It’s not evenly spread. He’s like their next big star. They are rolling out the red carpet.
“It goes to show that if you give people the time to rehearse and the resources, you can do amazing things. It’s frustrating that everybody doesn’t get that treatment.
“My first match with them was incredible because we had six weeks to rehearse, all the best minds in the business coming and putting in their two cents and it was an instant classic. Then, they never did it again. I was like, “Why isn’t this the model?”
“They’re doing that with Logan Paul and he’s having these fantastic performances. Look what you guys can do when you actually put organisation and effort into things.
“It blows my mind that this billion-dollar company is succeeding in spite itself in so many ways.”
Rousey hasn’t been shy with her criticism of WWE ever since she left last summer and has slammed key figures, such as Vince McMahon.
Paul addressed Rousey’s comments towards him by initially insisting he has immense respect for the MMA legend.
However, the US Champion believes her criticism comes from her general dissatisfaction with WWE.
Paul told BS: “I want to approach this from a real mature standpoint because I like Ronda Rousey. What she’s done in MMA is incredible.
“We watched her growing up, snapping arms. I have a lot of respect for Ronda Rousey. Every time I’ve met her, it was very amicable.
‘SHE’S NOT A HATER’
“So when she’s saying that, I don’t think it’s a personal attack on me by any means. I don’t feel she’s coming after me.
“I feel she’s maybe using me as an example to express her dissatisfaction with maybe how she was treated in the WWE. But I can’t speak on that because I don’t know how she was treated.
“I don’t think she’s a hater. I think she might be unhappy with how her run in the WWE went, but I don’t know anything really about that.
“All I know is how I work and the facilities and time that I’ve been given to make my matches as best as possible.
“Because I think the WWE recognises that when I put on a good match, which will happen every single time I perform, the outcome and the reaction of the fans is immense. It fills the audience.
“I think I’ve proven my value, both in and out the ring, on the mic, wrestling. The impressions that I’m delivering the company are second to none.”
