Logan Paul says he’ll return to Japan for the first time since his viral forest video alongside Kick streamer Adin Ross — but only if one particular condition is met.
YouTube star turned WWE heel Logan Paul has made quite the comeback after suffering a massive, self-inflicted blow to his career in December 2017.
The influencer, together with some of his friends, infamously visited Japan’s Aokigahara ‘suicide’ forest, where he recorded a video showing the body of a recently-deceased suicide victim.
He uploaded the footage to his YouTube channel, which quickly sparked international backlash so fierce that the incident was covered for weeks on major news outlets around the world.
Since then, Paul has managed to climb his way back to the top, becoming a WWE superstar and even scoring his own reality TV show alongside his little brother, Jake.
It’s been over seven years since Logan last set foot in the land of the rising sun… but he admitted that he’s willing to go back, as long as one thing happens first.
Logan Paul says he’s willing to stream in Japan with Adin Ross
In May 2025, Logan joined Kick star Adin Ross for a collaborative broadcast, where the streamer begged him to go to Japan with him.
“Can we please go to Japan and stream?” Adin said. “I’m telling you Logan, it’ll go crazy. Listen, we can do a fun Japan trip. …let’s go back to Japan, you and I. It’s gonna be fun, dude.”
At first, Paul seemed apprehensive, but ultimately agreed to go as long as he was welcomed back.
“How about this: If I go back, and I’m invited back, I’m welcomed back by Japanese people and the country of Japan — let’s do a stream.”
While this is the first time the YouTuber has actually agreed to revisit the country, it isn’t the first time he’s referenced the incident over the years.
During an August 2024 episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan revealed that he was, in fact, able to travel there, admitting that he wasn’t “shadowbanned” from visiting Japan despite what happened.
Japan has become an increasingly popular tourist destination for content creators lately, with top streamers visiting the country in droves every year — but sometimes, these visits can cause drama, as seen in Logan’s case and in more recent incidents such as infamous nuisance streamer Johnny Somali’s criminal trial in 2024.
