Logan Paul has admitted that his fight callout to Lionel Messi was “a joke” amid the ongoing lawsuit between Prime Hydration and Messi’s drink brand.
Messi’s drink company filed a lawsuit against Prime Hydration back in October 2024, accusing Logan Paul and KSI’s drink brand of being “anti-competitive,” with claims that Mas+ By Messi violated their trademarks.
Prime quickly hit Messi and his company with a countersuit over the alleged trade dress violations, but they were accused of “harassing” the pro footballer with requests to appear in court.
Logan responded to the harassment accusations by calling out Lionel Messi for a boxing match, but has since admitted the challenge was just “a joke.”

During a Wednesday, February 27 vlog alongside brother Jake Paul, the two were talking about future boxing matches – primarily the idea of Jake fighting KSI.
Logan brought up his callout towards Lionel Messi, revealing that it was just a joke. He said: “Bro, people think I really wanna fight Messi because I made that video. Everyone’s like, ‘Of course you want to fight someone retired and smaller than you.’ It was a f**king joke.
“I’m not fighting Messi guys, it was a joke for attention. For f**king attention bro.”

“We don’t fight retired fighters, we fight people our age that are just as good as us,” Logan added before Jake agreed, clearly poking fun at his younger brother’s choice of opponents.
Back in November 2024, 27-year-old Jake Paul entered the ring against 58-year-old retired boxer Mike Tyson for Netflix’s first-ever boxing match live-streamed on the platform.
Paul won that bout, and fans of the boxer have anxiously awaited for him to announce his next opponent. He was set to box Canelo Alvarez later this year, but the boxing star decided to remove himself from the fight, causing Jake to blast him on social media.
