Musi posted the touching tribute on Facebook in honor of Mother’s Day.

“Happy Mother’s Day to my Best Friend & lucky to call her my MOM,” she wrote on social media.

“Thank you for always being by my side. I love you so much!”

Alongside the touching tribute, the North Carolina native included a picture of herself in a pink and lilac snow outfit being held by her mother.

Many of the racer’s fans commented on the post sending their well wishes.

‘I pray you are doing well. Have a great day Lizzy,” one user commented.

“We love you Beth for being such a strong momma and fighting all Lizzy Musi battles with her. Happy Mothers Day momma Musi,” said a second person.

“I had to look twice because I thought that was actually YOU!! Happy Mother’s Day,” a third wrote.

The post on social media came mere weeks before Musi, 33, lost her fight with breast cancer.

Musi died at home surrounded by her family on Thursday night, her father and doorslammer drag racing legend Pat Musi announced on Facebook.

“Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle,” he said.

“At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief and make arrangements in peace.

“We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”

Musi, who had risen to prominence after scoring three successive victories in Street Outlaws, revealed in 2023 that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer – the most aggressive type of breast cancer.

Since then, the racing star has been very open about her diagnosis.

The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and liver but Musi remained positive about her condition.

Last month, she shared that she had “great news” while receiving cancer treatment in Germany.

The driver revealed that she would be seeking treatment at the Medias Klinikum treatment center in Burghausen, Germany.

“I’ve kind of tried everything here [in the U.S.], and I’ve researched the doctor and treatment in Germany that can isolate my liver and treat it,” Lizzy told Drag Illustrated at the time.

Her father’s post caused an outpouring of love and sympathy.

“This is just hurts my heart. She was such an inspiration to young girls. I loved watching her race,” wrote one user adding “Rest easy beautiful you will be forever missed.”

“This caught me off guard this morning. Such a strong beautiful soul. I’m so sorry that she didn’t have more time. My sympathies to her family and friends,” a second person agreed.

“Condolences to her family. Race high in heaven Lizzy,” wrote a third person.
