In a series of four selfies shared on Instagram on Nov. 22, the “Truth Hurts” singer posed from a car seat. She wore a sheer white crop top paired with an embroidered jean skirt featuring a matching sheer white bottom. Her look was accentuated by two long braids.
“Last night I wore milkmaid braids,” Lizzo wrote alongside the snaps with a tongue-out emoji.
Though the post was supposedly to show off her braids, many of her over 11 million Instagram followers noted her ongoing weight loss.
One fan wrote in the comments: “whew girl !! you looking skinny!! still beautiful both ways . love it.” Another fan gushed, “Yo Lizzie lost mad weight 😮.” A third fan added,” o beautiful. You have worked so hard.”
Some Fans Remain Skeptical of Lizzo’s Weight Loss Methods
Meanwhile, some fans couldn’t help but voice how they feel the singer has flipped on her stance on body positivity. “Why do I feel so betrayed by lizzo’s change 😮😂🥰,” one fan admitted.
Of course, many onlookers questioned the singer’s methods for such dramatic and fast results.
“You weren’t this skinny 1 months ago tf lmao,” one titan of industry wrote. “Lizzo be eating ozempic,” a second wordsmith commented.
That said, yet another fan summed up Lizzo’s weight loss journey succinctly.
“If she did use ozempic who gives af .. y’all aggy. Yall had something to say when she bigger & still got something to say when she smaller.”
Lizzo has been pretty candid about dropping the pounds this year. That said, she’s pushed back on rumors of using weight loss drugs.
The singer shared with The New York Times that she is on a “natural weight-loss journey,” characterized by a methodical approach and gradual weight loss.
In September, Lizzo responded to social media rumors, denying that she used weight loss medication to achieve her results. “When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit,” Lizzo captioned a short selfie video at the time.
