“The lyrics reflect the world we live in, and how people break each other down to get ahead – you’re expected to find “silver linings” in life rather than see the world for what it is”
ANIIMALIA have released a brand new track, and kicked off what is set to be a big Summer for them.
It’s called ‘Silver Linings’ and is a soaring and sensationally catchy piece of modern rock anthemics that flips between soulful and savage with the flick of the wrist.
It showcases the band’s knack for a hook and a riff as much as a desire to push their musical limits in the space of three huge minutes.
The band had this to say about it:
“Silver Linings was one of the first instances where we tried to be a lot more creative with our writing and think outside of the box. We really want to show people that we are more than a rock band, that we have a variety of influences from the pop-inspired vocal melodies, to heavy rock breakdowns. The lyrics reflect the world we live in, and how people break each other down to get ahead – you’re expected to find “silver linings” in life rather than see the world for what it is.”
And here it is:
The song is the first to be taken from the band’s upcoming EP ‘Pressure Points’ which will be released on August 10 via Marshall Records.
And the band are set to be opening the Avalanche Stage at 11am on the first day of Download Festival. That’s June 10, by the way.
Until then, here are a few of the tracks the band released last year.
