LIAM Payne fans expressed their concern for his wellbeing a month before his tragic death.
The One Direction star was very active on social media in the months before he passed away and details in certain posts sparked worry.
In one Snapchat clip from a luxury coastal villa in France, Liam told how he just wanted to stay inside and watch television instead of going to the beach in the sunshine.
He said: “I really don’t want to go to the beach but she’s [girlfriend Kate Cassidy] making me do it, like everything in life she’s making me do it, send help.”
As he gazed out to sea, he said: “It’s so sunny. I’m such an old man. I’m just grumpy and it’s lovely day. I just want to sit in my bed and watch TV on my laptop.”
A fan wrote: “Him saying he just wants to relax and watch TV but he’s not allowed literally broke me.”
Another said: “This just leaves me a bit… confused. Was he joking? I’m not sure about this, but I can say for sure he looks incredibly exhausted and kind of sad.”
A third posted: “He seems really depressed/not ok to me, I’m worried.”
A rambling post ahead of his trip to Argentina in which he cryptically said he had things to discuss with Niall Horan and a clip of him talking about the GoFund Me donations platform then led fans to ask if he was OK.
Earlier this month we revealed how Liam’s inner circle had grown increasingly worried for him.
A source said: “Liam’s behaviour has been concerning many in his inner circle for months.
“For a while things seemed to be looking up for him but over the past year there are fears he is spiralling.
“He’s no longer around some of his old friends as he’s relocated to America to start a new life out there which means many of those who are around him are ‘yes men’.
“Everyone wants the best for him but things are erratic to say the least.”
The One Direction star’s autopsy found he died from severe injuries sustained in the fall but that he didn’t adopt a reflex position.
Prosecutors said that given this, the position he was found in and the injuries he sustained, he may have been partly or fully unconscious when he fell.
A post-mortem revealed that Liam died after suffering “internal and external haemorrhaging” caused by the severe injuries.
