The Infamous Stringdusters and Leftover Salmon have come together to announce a co-headlining run dubbed Rowdy Summer Nights Tour. The extensive concert schedule will take the two bands and special guest, Kitchen Dwellers, from coast to coast in July and August 2025. On the road, the Montana-based progressive bluegrass ensemble will open each night, followed by a set from Salmon and separately one from the Stringdusters, who will alternate as concert closers.
The bluegrass players will begin their tour on July 9 at the Eagleview in Exton, Pa., before dropping down to the Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va., on July 10. The bands will continue regional appearances, including Koka Booth Amphitheater in N.C. (July 11), the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion in Portsmouth, Va. (July 12), and the Amp Ballantyne in Charlotte, N.C. (July 13).
Rowdy Summer Nights Tour will pick up a series of Midwest gigs next, beginning on July 15 at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Mich., and a follow-up in Huber Heights, Ohio. On July 17, Salmon, Stringdusters, and Dwellers will play at the Peoria Riverfront in Peoria, Ill., before arriving in Grand Rapids, Mich., the next night.
The tour will stop in Yuba, Wis., on July 19, before a break in dates and an eventual return on August 7 for a gig at Amphitheater at Las Colonias in Grand Junction, Colo. Working West, the bands will continue their offerings during the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival in Alta, Wy. Then, on Aug. 9, Dwellers will return to their home state for a night at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Bonner, Mont.
Arriving in the Pacific Northwest, the tour will stop at Marymoore Live in Redmond, Wash., on Aug. 10, before a trio of Oregon follow-ups, capped by a night at The Glow Plaza Festival Grounds in Reno, Nev., and the highly anticipated tour closer, August 16 at San Francisco’s The Warfield.
Via press release, The Infamous Stringdusters’ bassist and vocalist Travis Book said, “Salmon was a very important band in my early years as a music fan. As I was discovering bluegrass and jam bands I stumbled across Leftover Salmon. Here was a band that was like me—Colorado mountain hippies from the high country who were just looking for a good time! I felt they were kindred spirits before we ever became friends and I will always look up to them.”
Salmon’s Vince Herman added, “Summer 2025 is gonna be an unusual time in the life of our country and we think a big run of shows spreading love and joy around is just what’s needed to help us all weather the storms ahead. Let’s have us some Rowdy Summer Nights!”
The tour has partnered with PLUS1 and Conscious Alliance. $1 from every ticket supports Conscious Alliance’s mission to end hunger nationwide and feed families in need.
An artist pre-sale will occur tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, at noon local time (code: LEFTOVERDUST). A local pre-sale will occur on Thursday, February 14, at 10 a.m. local time, and a general on-sale will occur on Friday, February 14, at 10 a.m. local time.
