Origins is a recurring series giving artists a space to break down everything that went into their latest release. Today, LE SSERAFIM unpack the key points of their new single, “HOT,” in a video interview.
The members of LE SSERAFIM are always up for a challenge. 2024 was a huge year for the five members of the K-pop group (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae); between a Coachella debut, a documentary series, and a number of charting releases, the quintet stepped up to the plate to continue sharing their message of fearlessness with the world — and especially their fans, known as FEARNOTS. That trajectory led LE SSERAFIM to be named the 2025 Rising Stars in our 2024 K-Pop Yearbook.
This year is already off to an exciting start as the group rounds out their EASY, CRAZY, HOT trilogy, which began with EASY in January 2024 and ends with the freshly released HOT. The mini album includes the sizzling title track as well as “Come Over,” featuring the groovy Brit-pop act Jungle in an entrancing collaboration that demands to be thrown on repeat.
“We’re really excited to come out with this album,” Huh Yunjin shares with Consequence. “It’s our first title to center around the theme of love, so we really wanted to create a message that a lot of people can resonate with. I think we were able to do that pretty nicely, so we’re really excited to show FEARNOTs our new sound.”
