Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Files For Divorce From Her Husband Josh

Josh is now expected to move out of the family home, leaving Lauryn responsible for related expenses.

Lauryn “Pumpkin” and Josh Effird’s current issues are featured on WEtv’s “Mama June: Family Crisis,” which also explores the family’s grief over the late Anna Cardwell’s death.

According to court documents filed in Wilkinson County, Georgia, and obtained by Page Six, Lauryn noted that her and Josh’s relationship is “irretrievably broken,” and they have “reached a full and final agreement on all issues of divorce, custody, visitation, children support, division of property, alimony and division of debt.”

After their separation, the Efirds will share legal and physical custody of their four children: Ella, 6; Bentley, 3; and twins Sylus and Stella, 2, following a mutually agreed-upon parenting plan outlined in the court documents.

The couple has also waived their rights to alimony and child support due to their shared “custodial arrangement” and “equally divide the expenses of the minor children, including but not limited to uncovered medical expenses, extracurricular activities, and necessary school expenses.”

According to the news outlet, Lauryn will claim Bentley and Stella on her income tax returns, while Josh will claim their other two kids, Ella and Sylus.

The court documents revealed that Josh plans to move out of the family home in Gordon, Georgia.

His name will be removed from the lease within 60 days, leaving Lauryn responsible for all debts and expenses associated with the property. As per the agreement, Josh and Lauryn will also retain their respective vehicles and bank accounts.

Prior to their split, Lauryn frequently praised her husband’s parenting skills on social media. In a heartfelt June 2022 post, she called Josh the “BEST father I’ve known.”

“All my life I prayed that God would send me someone with whom I could have a family and love forever, and he sent me you. Thank you for being the best father to all of our babies, including Alana,” Lauryn wrote.

She added, “You’ve never failed to show up and demonstrate to the kids what a real man is. I’ll forever be thankful for you. Me and the kids love you so very much.”

Lauryn and Josh’s relationship is currently featured on the ongoing season of WEtv’s “Mama June: Family Crisis.”

However, the latest episodes have centered on the family coping with the death of Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell in December. Anna passed away months after she was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma last year.

In the July 12 episode, Lauryn revealed she’s “still not okay” as she navigates her grief over losing her older sister.

“Getting the call that her cremains are ready is like, what the f—. Life, I know, has to continue to move on, but I just hope this doesn’t set me back because I just got out of that funk,” she shared.

In a June interview with People Magazine, Mama June also discussed how she keeps Anna’s memory alive by wearing her ashes in a bracelet.

“We very much still today, even six months later, keep her memory alive,” Mama June said. “For me, I personally have to talk about it all the time. She’s actually here with us today.”

“She’s here. I always tote her around,” June added.

Lauryn’s divorce comes amid ongoing speculation about Mama June’s marriage to Justin Stroud.

Mama June has been married to Stroud for two years, but in an April episode of the show, Lauryn and Alana voiced concerns that their mother’s alleged dishonesty could jeopardize her marriage.

“I thought he was going to divorce her right then and there,” Alana confided to her sister after witnessing a heated argument between Mama June and Stroud about Alana’s Coogan account.

She noted, “If she doesn’t quit the f-cking lying and really get her f-cking life together, I’m telling you, Justin’s gonna leave her.”
