It is common knowledge that Lala Kent has not been on the best of terms with her ex Randall Emmett with whom she shares her daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett.
The duo went public with their relationship in December 2017, leading to a three-year engagement before they called it off in October 2021.
Less than two years later, Kent is hinting that she and Randall are in a custody battle for their only child while stressing about how unfair the family court system is.
Lala Kent Shares Her Experience With ‘Broken’ Family Court System
The “Pitching Love and Catching Faith” actress is not satisfied with the United States family court system as she believes it is “broken.” She expressed her opinions candidly on her Instagram Story using a message against a picture of her sitting at a desk, facing a laptop with a sheet of paper on the keys while looking somber.
“I see a family court system that is broken nationwide,” she began. “When I entered this battle, I knew I was not alone.” Kent then shed more light on why she believed the system was unfair. She wrote, “The well-being & protection of our children comes last to lining the pocketbooks of court ‘professionals,’ & parental ‘rights.’”
In conclusion, she explained how her court experience was an honor that also led her to have a “purpose.” “I knew my voice now had a purpose & needed to be put to use,” she proclaimed. “It was an honor to give a proponent testimonial for SB250 in Montana today.”
While fans may not be fully aware of how challenging the situation would be on little Ocean, they are aware of how much love Kent shows the tot both on and off social media. During Ocean’s almost-second birthday in March, the reality star went all out with a Monster-themed bash and invited past and present stars of “Vanderpump Rules.”
Kent shared details of the spectacular event on her Instagram, highlighting the venue decorated with balloons of multiple colors. In one slide, the birthday girl rocked a purple ensemble and a matching hat featuring monster eyes.
She was captured posing in front of cardboard cutouts of the “Monsters, Inc.” character James P. “Sulley” Sullivan. A picture of a large room was included in another slide. The room had a low table set for 18 children invitees alongside a banner that read, “Boo is 2.”
There were also several more decorations of multi-colored balloon arches, a lit-up number two, and a white shelf housing special Monsters Inc. lunch box giveaways. The reality star then ensured to add a snap of the birthday cakes, revealing two medium-sized Monster Inc. creations.
In the caption, she penned a heartfelt tribute celebrating her baby who meant the world to her and appreciating those who came out to commemorate the special day. “I wouldn’t have nothin’ if I didn’t have youuu!” she expressed. “Ocean’s Monsters Inc. birthday party was everything and more.”
The 32-year-old went on, “Thank you to all of our close friends and family for coming to celebrate my sweet girl,” before adding that she was holding it together since Ocean was not 2 yet.
After admitting that she would be a wreck as time went by “way too fast,” she credited everyone who made the event a huge success at the end of the message. Fans were fascinated with the update as they hurried to the comments to honor the celebrant including one who remarked, “So honored that Ocean is a fellow Pisces – Happy birthday!!!”
Emmett Is Okay With Being The Joke In Break Up With ‘The Row’ Actress
More than a year after Lala broke up with the father of her child, he addressed the cheating accusations thrown at him by the actress and his former wife Ambyr Childers.
As The Blast reported, the film producer during an interview revealed that he would allow himself to be “steamrolled” in exchange for his kid’s “safety and happiness.”
The Hollywood star who shares two kids London and Rylee, with Childers, added that he was okay with being the “joke” to his exes if that was what they needed.
“But Ocean’s the priority,” he emphasized. “London’s the priority, and Rylee, so I’m always gonna put them first before myself, and hopefully, you know, that ultimately will be what the overall theme is.”
