A Los Angeles-based investor is getting crushed for his plea during the intense Southern California fires. On Tuesday, Firefighters battled a raging wildfire that left devastation through the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Southern California.

As of Wednesday, 30,000 residents had been forced to evacuate their homes, and with winds picking up, there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight.

During the fires, wealthy LA investor Keith Wasserman asked if there were any “private firefighters” for hire and that he would be willing to pay them “any amount” to come out and stop the fires.

“Does anyone have access to private firefighters to protect our home in Pacific Palisades?” he asked. “Need to act fast here. All neighbors houses burning. Will pay any amount. Thank you.”

The Internet immediately uncovered an old tweet from Wasserman bragging about not paying taxes in the past.
