L.S. Dunes (MCR, Coheed) Announce New Album, Unveil “Machines”

L.S. Dunes — the supergroup featuring members of My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria, Thursday, and Circa Survive —- have announced their sophomore album, titled Violet. In advance of its January 31st release date, the band has unveiled the single “Machines.”

The band is made up of singer Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin), guitarists Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) and Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday), and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday).

Stever states of the new album, “Violet is a sonic journey into the depths of every band member of L.S. Dunes. The collaborative efforts to bring each song to a full potential came naturally. It’s the album that has always lived in us individually but could only be made together. It has melodies that have lived within me since I was a child. It was only with this band I would be able to find a place where they could find a home in song.”

The single “Machines” is accompanied by an amusing music video featuring the band playing a 1970s-style talk show as they eventually win over an unenthusiastic crowd. The song follows previous single “Fatal Deluxe,” which was released last month.

Fans can catch L.S. Dunes supporting Rise Against on the latter’s current headlining tour, which runs through a November 22nd show in Del Mar, California (pick up tickets here). In addition, L.S. Dunes will also be playing the When We Were Young festival taking place this Saturday (October 19th) and Sunday (October 20th) in Las Vegas.
