KYLIE Jenner wants to go to the Oscars with her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet but may miss the prestigious event, The U.S. Sun has learned.
A Complete Unknown star Timothee, 29, is nominated for Best Actor at the 2025 Oscars, and A-listers such as Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Adrien Brody, Demi Moore and Selena Gomez are also expected to attend the swanky ceremony on Sunday, March 2.
Fans are hoping that Kylie will be in attendance at the Academy Awards this year to support her boyfriend, but it’s not looking too hopeful that she will.
A source close to the Kardashian-Jenner family has revealed that Kylie “does want to go to the Oscars.” but also offered some reasons why she might not show up.
“Kylie always has stage fright at the big Hollywood events,” the source said.
“She gets really anxious about having to hold conversations about things she doesn’t know about, like the film industry and acting.
“It just makes her uncomfortable. She’s always battling that inferiority complex of ‘They think I’m just trash TV.’
“There’s still a huge part of her that lives in fear of having that rug pulled out from under her, or people saying she doesn’t deserve to be somewhere like the Oscars.
“There is part of her that is worried that by appearing on the red carpet, she triggers some sort of ‘hate reaction’ from people who think she’s not entitled to be on the red carpet or with him.”
Despite her anxiety, Kylie attended the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs with Timothee this year.
A source told The U.S. Sun that Kylie felt out of place at the Globes, as many Hollywood stars snubbed her and instead only greeted her superstar boyfriend.
“Kylie seemed very uncomfortable all night, just so tense and awkward most of the night,” the source said.
“You’d see brief moments where she connected with Timothee or bonded with the girls at her table [Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro].
“Those three really did to seem to have a fun time at that table together. But everyone was coming up constantly to talk to Elle and Timothee. No one knew who Kylie was ,and if they did, they basically didn’t acknowledge her.”
Kylie ended up skipping the SAG Awards on Sunday, February 23, and Timothee was accompanied by his mother instead.
TRAGIC LOSS
Kylie may also skip the show this year because she’s recovering from the tragic news that her hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, died unexpectedly last weekend.
Jesus‘ death was announced just weeks after the pair’s trip to Paris.
The Los Angeles-based hairdresser, 34, who had a close bond with Kylie, has now “gone to Heaven,” according to his sister Gris.
“It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven,” the grieving sister said.
“He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more.”
“Born and raised in Houston, TX to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamed of taking his skills to the top.
“Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly.”
KYLIE’S SWEET GESTURE
Kylie is reportedly shocked by Jesus’ passing, with the beauty mogul even said to be taking care of expenses.
An insider told People: “Jesus’ death hit her hard. She is shocked and very upset. Still, she’s doing everything she can to be supportive and aid his family, including financially.”
The source added how Kylie doesn’t want his family to stress about money so is “taking care of expenses, including those associated with his funeral.”
