The String Cheese Incident’s Kyle Hollingsworth has announced the August 1, 2025, release of his new solo LP, All We Are, set to arrive via SCI Fidelity Records. Speaking to the scope of the record, Hollingsworth comments, “This album starts with my songwriting. I’m better able to express what I’m feeling at the moment, and I keep pushing myself to explore further.” As an initial preview, the keyboard player and vocalist have unveiled the initial single, which doubles as the collection’s title track.

All We Are is Hollingsworth’s fifth set of original music. The full-length record consists of guitar-laden compositions accented by his movements across the keys, which support the overall effect. Across the collection, the musician’s lyrics muster imagery and feelings akin to his life experience and challenges. Self-produced, Hollingsworth sought to deliver a personal entry inspired by SCI on “Carnival.”

According to the press release, “Carnival” began as an instrumental number inspired by Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby’s self-titled collaborative studio record, which took on new meaning with his cleverly fashioned lyrics. Elsewhere on the set, Hollingsworth pays tribute to Colorado and his 30-year tenure in the region on the track that bears the same name as the 38th state. “I get a lot of my creative energy when I’m biking, paddleboarding or skiing. Something will come to me and I’ll sing it into my phone.”

He continued, “I respect how the song wants to be written. I don’t force it. After I get home, I’ll live with it a little bit and purposely let it breathe.” Also included on the set is a nod to the late Gregg Allman via “Waiting On Time,” which marks the arrival of a new narrative technique administered by the musician during the writing process: the use of third person.

Speaking to today’s single release, and the album’s namesake, Hollingsworth said, “There’s a throughline of how we are able to live in this universe. I’m in constant amazement and wonder of humanity, life on the planet and the beauty of nature all around me. I also continue to be a searcher, looking for challenges that may present themselves. I’m always experimenting musically and trying to stretch beyond what people expect of me, while continuing to examine what I expect of myself.”

In support of the album, Hollingsworth will set out on an independent tour, scroll down for a complete list of dates.
