KSI is trying to show he’s twice the man I am but I’ll prove him wrong, swipes Slim Albaher ahead of wild 2v1 fight

KSI facing off with Slim Albaher

YOUTUBER Slim Albaher has taken a bitter swipe at KSI ahead of their wild two-on-one Misfits Boxing fight.

Prankster-turned-prizefighter Slim is 7-0 in the new-age crossover boxing scene and has long called out KSI.

And on August 31 in Dublin, his wish will finally be granted… with a twist.

That is because the New Yorker has to share the challenge with former MMA star and now crossover boxer Anthony Taylor.

The will take on KSI by tagging each other in and out of the ring – something Slim admits will come as a struggle.

“I’m not really a team player, honestly,” he told SunSport. “When I play basketball, I ball hog, I do all the scoring myself.”

Slim – a champion in Misfits which is co-owned by KSI – feels insulted at being denied a one-on-one shot at the British superstar.

“It kind of bothers me because it shows that KSI is trying to show he’s twice the man I am but he’s not,” he said.

“Everytime we fought on the same card I always outperform him. I always win Knockout of The Night, Fight of The Night.

“And if you see the comments online, it’s all like, ‘Why don’t you fight Slim  one-on-one?’ He’s belittling me.

“He thinks I’m not a big enough name to share a pay-per-view with him which is kind of f***ed up but honestly, I had no choice.

“When they first offered me this fight I kept saying no, I wanted the one-on-one. But what can I do? I haven’t fought for eight months now.

“I’m just trying to get back in there. I want to fight and this is the only way I can fight KSI. This is the only way I can punch him in the face.

“If this is the only way I can do it and showcase my skills on the grand stage and show what I can do, I had to take it.”

Slim, 29, picked up the biggest win in his ring career in October when he beat TikToker Salt Papi, considered one of the best crossover boxers.

And he said the KO victory propelled him as a big player – and earner – in the Misfits scene.

“I’m doing better than when I was doing YouTube, honestly,” Slim admitted.

“I took my career further than a lot of the other guys have in this space. I’m one of the biggest names in this space because of the underdog wins I’ve had.

“Especially the last win I had against Salt Papi. I was a major underdog, he was being hyped up to be a killer and I knocked him out.

“I became a prizefighter, when I fight it’s gotta be for the right check.”

KSI, 31, was defeated for the first time as a boxer the night Slim beat Salt Papi after losing a controversial decision to 10-0 Tommy Fury, 25.

He now hopes to bounce back in Ireland before eyeing a massive fight with ex-world champion Amir Khan, 37, later in the year.

Khan – who retired in 2022 after losing to bitter rival Kell Brook – was also offered to Slim.

“My first fight was under Amir Khan’s promotion. He’s a friend of mine,” Slim said.

“So I see it as kind of disrespectful to be asked to fight your boy.

“Even though it would be a massive fight, I respect Amir Khan for what he’s done for boxing for people like me. I have a lot of love for Amir Khan.

“So when they asked me to fight him, I was like, ‘Are you serious? I can’t.’ It’s a weird thing for me.”
