Wake Up Dead Man, the third installment in the Knives Out series, has officially been announced, with Daniel Craig returning as the loquacious Southern private investigator Benoit Blanc.
The film was revealed in a teaser narrated by Craig in which he says, “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, behold, the glass shattered. But my most dangerous case yet is about to be revealed.” Watch the clip below.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is set to arrive on Netflix in 2025 and will once again be written and directed by Rian Johnson, who will produce the film with Ram Bergman. No further details have been revealed at this time.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is,” Johnson wrote on Twitter while teasing the film. “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”
Wake Up Dead Man follows 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the excellent sequel to the first Knives Out film.
