Is Kim Kardashian the queen of shades, or what?
The reality star seemed to be sending a message to her ex-husband Kanye West, thanks to a picture she dropped recently on Instagram. She was seen wearing an outfit from Balenciaga and Adidas, two top designers who severed their business ties with Ye following his anti-Semitic rants.
Kim Kardashian Seemingly Shades Ex-Husband In New Picture
In the picture, Kardashian struck a model pose in a long-sleeved gray turtleneck with black stripes, which she paired with black shorts with white stripes. She finished her look with a pair of roomy, thigh-high high-heeled boots.
While the turtleneck and shorts are from the Balenciaga x Adidas collab, the boots are purely from Balenciaga. Kardashian’s blonde tresses fall freely down her back as she emphasized the shape of her body by pushing her butt out.
Long stretches of clothes are seen behind the mother-of-four, opening up the possibility of her snapping the selfie in her wardrobe. The photo has accumulated over two million likes and goofy comments from fans who caught on to her subliminal message.
“The shade is unreal,” one user wrote under the post. Later, a second fan chimed, “She’s been respectful for waaaayyyy too long.” Others praised the media personality for maintaining her poise, with Lala Anthony dropping five love eyes emojis under the picture.
The Blast detailed Balenciaga’s announcement about ending their working relationship with Ye last month. The statement that Kering — the French fashion house parent company to Balenciaga — released at the time read:
“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”
Although the statement did not share additional information about their decision, observers quickly pointed out Ye’s continuous attack against the Jewish, especially on social media.
Barely a week after, The Blast reported that Adidas was done with the “Donda” founder. Per the statement dropped by the shoe company, “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
The footwear merchant then explained that they were severing all ties with the “Flashing Lights” rapper, stopping production of all their Yeezy-focused products, and will also cease making any payments to the embattled celeb and his company.
The unexpected action seemed different from Ye’s previous claims that Adidas could never let him go. In one video of his that went viral, the 45-year-old declared, “The thing about it, me and Adidas, is like, I could literally say anti-semitic sh*t, and they can’t drop me. I could say anti-semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me.”
Ye Neglects Court Date During Divorce Deposition
Ye showed how disinterested he was in the ongoing divorce proceedings with Kardashian and her legal team recently. The Blast shared that the fashion designer did not attend their November 16 deposition, where he was supposed to get grilled by his ex’s lawyers.
Luckily, he got assigned a second date — November 29 at 9:30 AM, which he has to show at. Failure to meet up on the new date could result in the divorce deposition going to trial — which is currently scheduled for December 14.
Even though the record producer and Kardashian have yet to figure out the split of assets, they agreed to have joint custody of their kids — North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago. Aside from the legal brouhaha, the former lovers appear to be moving forward romantically.
While the SKIMs creator dated comedian Pete Davidson from November 2021 to August 2022, Ye was romantically involved with actress Julia Fox in January.
The duo parted ways less than two months later, with Fox confessing her motive for dating the award-winning rapper a few days ago. The 32-year-old claimed she wanted to take Ye’s attention away from his ex-wife. In her words:
“I had this thought… I was like, ‘Maybe I can get him off of Kim’s case. I can distract him, just get him to like me.’”
The mother-of-one’s plan seemed to work as she disclosed that they only had conversations about “clothes and weird ideas, plans for the future, and our hopes and dreams for childhood and education.” However, Fox claimed that the relationship ended as soon as Ye went back to tweeting.
