Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg play cousins who travel to Poland to honor their beloved grandmother in A Real Pain, a new film written and directed by Eisenberg. Following it premiere at Sundance earlier this year, the film will receive a theatrical release in the US on October 18th, 2024. Watch its newly revealed trailer below.
A Real Pain marks Culkin’s first major project since the conclusion of Succession, for which he earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Season. Based on the aforementioned trailer, an Academy Award may not be all too far behind.
As for Eisenberg, A Real Pain marks his second directorial effort, following 2022’s When You Finish Saving the World.
Alongside Culkin and Eisenberg, A Real Pain stars Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Liza Sadovy, Daniel Oreskes, and Ellora Torchia. Emma Stone and Dave McCary serve as producers on the project.
