Kid Bookie has shared another taste of his forthcoming album ‘Songs For The Living // Songs For The Dead’ with wickedly intense new single ‘Love Me When You’re Angry’.
With the album set for release on September 13 via Marshall Records, it’s another epic track from the London alt. star.
Speaking on ‘Love Me When You’re Angry’, Kid Bookie has shared:
“In this generation where everything’s such a microwavable moment – it has 2 minutes, it’s hot, and then you take out, and it’s just done.
“This song is asking to give a little bit of hope, a little bit of something to hold on to. It’s about how our heart changes for a person and how we learn how to adapt to each change and the shape of their heart.”

Kid Bookie’s forthcoming album ‘Songs For The Living // Songs For The Dead’ will also feature previously released opener ‘AI (Save Yourself)’ and vital cut ‘Scars’, as well as collaborations with Good Charlotte’s Billy Martin and Skindred’s Mikey Demus.
Speaking about the album and what it means to him, Bookie has shared:
“A lot of this album is about feeling inadequate.
“There are different facets and layers of that inadequacy, and it covers most of my inadequate parts, whether that’s my art or feeling inadequate in terms of love.”
Fresh from supporting I PREVAIL across the EU, Kid Bookie will perform at this year’s 2000trees, on July 13.
