Kick co-founder reveals how much Asmongold would make if he switched from Twitch

Kick is making a big case for Asmongold to leave Twitch after revealing how much more the streamer could make if he joined the green platform.

The streaming wars continue to rage on, with Twitch, Kick, YouTube and even Rumble fighting for creators to find a place on each respective site.

While Kick doesn’t dish out big contracts like it used to, such as Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s famous $100M deal, the company has other incentives on offer for streamers looking to make their home on the site.

On February 18, Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani responded to Dexerto’s tweet about Asmongold’s Twitch earnings and revealed why he’d be better off changing platforms.

Between January 19 and February 17, Asmongold made $37,001.40 streaming on his ‘Zackrawrr’ Twitch account.

Unlike most streamers, Asmongold doesn’t run many ads. In fact, he only earned $9 through ads on Twitch so far in February.

The majority of his income is made through his 8,970 subscriptions, but Tehrani says these subscribers would be much more lucrative on Kick, which offers a 95/5 split.

This was pointed out by Bijan Tehrani in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Based on his numbers, Asmongold would have earned $1,000,395.50 the past month on Kick without a special deal or having to run a single ad.”

Of course, this amount would be contingent on all of Asmongold’s subs joining Kick and subscribing there, but that’s still a startling difference in potential income.

However, Asmongold has been vocal about not accepting a streaming contract even if he was offered $1 billion, because he feels it would take away from his “freedom.”

“I never pursued a contract like that, because I didn’t like feeling committed to streaming. Like, to me, freedom in my life is the most important thing, and there is not a dollar amount that you can put on that number that would be worth it to me,” he said.

We’ll have to see if Asmongold decides to join Kick after Tehrani’s revelation or opts to multi-stream.

It’s not like the streamer relies solely on Twitch, though. While Asmon’s streaming income may not be very high, his YouTube videos featuring stream clips are extremely popular, with many pulling in millions of views.
