Kick boss asks Twitch to finally unban him years after gambling stream

CEO Eddie Craven is asking Twitch for forgiveness and to unban him after nearly four years so that he can try Kick’s new multi-streaming features.

In April 2025, Kick announced that partners on the platform are now allowed to multi-stream on other streaming sites like Twitch and YouTube and still make money.

There’s a big catch, however, as the green streaming site will reevaluate your revenue and could drop it as low as 50% of your regular rate, according to its FAQs.

On April 17, CEO Eddie Craven shared that he wants to try out Kick’s new Partner multistreaming, but can’t because he’s been banned from Twitch for almost four years.

Kick CEO asks Twitch for forgiveness

“Keen to test out our new Kick Partner multistreaming,” he said in a tweet. “Twitch, it’s been 44 months. I’ve matured. I’ve healed… maybe time for forgiveness?

“I reckon Kick Talk would be cool fit on both platforms. Feels like the right format to bridge communities and take a more agnostic view of the live streaming world.”

Once fans of the CEO caught wind of his nearly four-year ban from Twitch, many began asking what caused his punishment.

In a reply to someone asking that question, Craven revealed that it was a permanent ban for streaming slots on the platform.

“That said, respect to the Twitch moderation team. Moderating fast-moving social platforms isn’t easy,” he added.

It’s unknown if Craven will ever return to the Amazon-owned platform, but it’s not out of the question. Back in 2023, Twitch revealed a new feature that allows permanently banned streamers to appeal the decision and potentially get access to their account again.

It’s proven to be successful, too, with the likes of JiDion and IShowSpeed using the form to regain access to their previously permabanned channels.
