On Feb. 1, American jazz trumpeter, vocalist, songwriter, and producer Keyon Harrold and master of the djembe Weedie Braimah stopped by the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City to show case their masterful instrumentalism.
During their performance they were joined by Quincy Troupe, an American poet, editor, journalist and professor emeritus at the University of California, San Diego, in La Jolla, who is known for his music as well as the biographer of Miles Davis, and Mamadou Sidiki Diabaté a prominent Mandé kora player and jeli from Bamako, Mali – the 71st generation of kora players in his family and a son to Sidiki Diabaté.
heyon Harrold will perform his final show at the Blue Note Jazz Club tonight.
