Kendrick Lamar took a massive victory lap on a route that included dancing on Drake’s grave on Thursday night, as the famed West Coast rapper performed a trio of his Drake diss tracks at his “The Pop Out — Ken and Friends” concert on Juneteenth.
At the end of a three-hour-long show that included performances by rappers such as Tyler, The Creator, Steve Lacy and YG, Lamar took the stage alongside his longtime pals Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, in addition to Dr. Dre, while performing a trio of his recent Drake diss tracks.
The rowdiest part of the performance is when Kendrick performed his hit “Not Like Us,” which is looking like it may be the song of the summer, which is something that Drake was known for for many years.
During the performance of “Not Like Us,” the crowd of over 17,000 people, which included the likes of LeBron James, gleefully rapped the lyrics “Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young You better not ever go to cell block one” and “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles!”
The reaction on social media was essentially unbridled joy as rap fans loved what Kendrick did with the performance.
“Kendrick Lamar just unified real life gang members had them all take a group pic and got everyone to dance together to a song calling Drake a pedophile for the 5th time in a row on Amazon Prime,” one viral tweet with over 2.5 million views read.
“Drake said Dot wasn’t affiliated, and Kendrick responded with gangteenth. My god today,” said another popular post on Twitter.
